Sacramento is a great place for homeschoolers!
The greater Sacramento area, with its many museums, parks, cultural venues, and other places of interest, is a wonderful location for homeschooling families. The rivers, wetlands, and nature centers provide many opportunities for scientific discovery and the possibilities for field trips are only limited by our imaginations.
Whether you are new to homeschooling or a "veteran," our group has much to offer.
If you are new to homeschooling, the more experienced members of our group can answer your questions and offer suggestions. If you are an experienced homeschooler, our events and activities are a great place to meet new friends, share ideas, find support, and have fun!
Our group is unique in that it is all-inclusive.
Our members represent many different homeschooling methods and religious philosophies. Some of our members use charter schools and some do not. Some are unschoolers, some use prepared curriculum, and many fall somewhere in between. Our group is nonsectarian and our membership is wonderfully diverse. (If terms such as "charter schools" and "unschooling" are unfamiliar to you, we can help!)
Join us on Mondays for our weekly park day!
Park days are one type of event enjoyed by our members. At park days, kids can play while parents exchange ideas, offer support, discuss resources, and share what we have found to be successful in our homeschooling experiences.
Meet other homeschooling families and find support at our monthly Family Night!
